New Lead Pastor Ben Klaus and his wife Rachel are natives of the Midwest. After ministering in Chicago and Denver, God has brought them full circle back to the Detroit Metro area; and they are delighted to be able to minister at Legacy Church. Pastor Ben has a special burden to deeply study the word of God and explain it to God's people; to build meaningful personal relationships with fellow Christians and help them in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ; to pray much for God's grace and help towards his people; and to regularly present the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he meets in the community.
Pastor Ben also served for a number of years as the music director of the Troy Metro Symphony Orchestra, which performs classical and sacred literature throughout the Detroit metro area; and Rachel is a violinist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Pastor Ben loves to read, play the piano and the violin, play basketball in his spare time, and go on long walks with his wife and kids. Pastor Ben and Rachel have three beautiful children, Matthew, Katelyn, and Christian.
